Why Choose Newbliss

What Makes Us Different

Raised with Intention

Our program is small enough to be personal and structured enough to be purposeful.

Our Lagotto puppies are raised in our home, where they receive early handling, daily interaction, and age-appropriate exposure from the very beginning. We use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) during the first 16 days, then gradually introduce different textures, sounds, people, and experiences as the puppies grow.

We begin crate training at 4 weeks and work on it consistently for the next month. We also introduce the foundation of good manners through manding, along with independent time away from the litter and supervised play outside of their pen area. Each litter also participates in carefully selected social experiences, including regular visitors and multiple puppy yoga outings.

The result is a Lagotto puppy who has already begun learning how to cope, adapt, and engage with the world in a healthy way.

Thoughtful Puppy Matching

We use our daily observations along with Volhard temperament testing to thoughtfully match each Lagotto puppy to the right family. Rather than focusing only on looks, we prioritize temperament, energy level, confidence, and overall fit so each puppy is well suited to the home they’re joining. This creates a smoother transition, a better long-term match, and a companion who is easier to live with and enjoy from the start. We believe that when the match is right, life with your dog feels more natural, rewarding, and joyful.

Championship Titles, Health, and Breed Integrity

We are committed to preserving and improving the Lagotto Romagnolo through thoughtful selection and responsible breeding practices.

All breeding dogs are health tested, and only dogs with passing results are used in our program. We also actively show our dogs in conformation, with most of our breeding dogs earning Championships or Grand Championships. This helps ensure that the Lagotti we produce are not only wonderful companions, but also excellent representatives of the breed in structure, movement, and overall type.

Honest Guidance and Ongoing Support

We believe in a personalized, professional experience from the first conversation forward.

Our families receive regular updates throughout the process, including communication during the breeding process, pregnancy confirmation, litter announcements, and puppy development. We share pictures and videos of our Lagotto litters on Facebook and Instagram, and we stay in close contact during the waiting process so families always know what is happening.

Once puppies go home, our support continues. Some families stay in close touch, while others prefer more space, and we are happy to meet people where they are. We encourage ongoing connection and want our puppy families to feel supported as they learn and grow with their new Lagotto.

Practical, Real-Life Preparation

We want our puppies and their families set up for success in the real world.
We begin with practical foundations like crate training, early potty habits, and basic structure. We also spend time helping families understand what this breed needs to thrive, especially in areas like routine, boundaries, and grooming. Our goal is not to micromanage families, but to guide them well so they can avoid unnecessary stress and move through the learning curve with confidence.
We feed commercial kibble in our program, while also supporting families who want to transition their Lagotto to fresh or raw feeding after bringing their puppy home.
